Here's the first week of school at a glance.
It's quickly approaching and we are so excited to welcome the students back to school!
Monday: Grades 10, 11, and 12 students who have not yet picked up their Chromebook and selected a parking spot must do so in the office between 10:00am - noon OR from 6:30pm-8:00pm.
Freshman bootcamp begins at 5:30pm until 8:00pm. Feel free to bring items to place in lockers at this time. Parents should plan to be in attendance for the first 30 minutes of this meeting.
Wednesday: First day of school! The doors will unlock at 7:50am, tardy bell rings at 8:10am.
We will be having our back to school bash on this day. We will be utilizing the pool at the Park District so you'll want to bring your swimming attire and a towel. We will enjoy some outdoor games and lunch will be served, feel free to bring a sack lunch if you prefer. This is a 2:05pm dismissal day.
**Student council elections and voting will be done on this day. If you want to run for Student Council, bring your speech and present it to your class in the morning before the festivities begin!**

**This will be the last day to make a schedule change (drop/add a class). Changes must be made before the end of the school day with Miss Hinson. Students, you may email her to set up a time to meet.
Monday, August 18 will be the first FULL day of school with a 3:15 dismissal time.

With school just around the corner, we want to be sure parents and students are able to access the Student Handbook and take the time to read through the expectations for this school year. A few "Highlights" are shown here - which are valuable "need to know" items for all students and parents.

While he's not new to the district, we are excited for Mr. McVickers to be joining us at the High School this school year as our new Driver's Education teacher!
We’re excited to begin the school year with our new food service provider, Organic Life Smart Foodservice! They are bringing a different variety of meal options for our students and staff!

In order to keep our students safe, we ask that all parents view and adhere by the pick up and drop off procedures for MPHS students (and 8th grade students - end of day).
A lot is happening that day at MPHS! We will celebrate back to school with our swimming party. Bring your appropriate swimsuit (no thongs or high riding bikini bottoms). Picnic lunch is planned. Also, get those Student Council speeches started because you will vote for your representatives that day!
