Dear Mount Pulaski CUSD 23 Community,

My name is Jason Spang, and it is an honor to serve the Mount Pulaski School District as your returning Superintendent of Schools. I am so excited to build upon all our progress and welcome back all our students, staff, and families for another school year full of opportunities. Our focus is always to aspire to achieve excellence in everything we do. We are committed to working tirelessly with our students to help them reach their fullest potential. Our work guides our district vision statement of empowering our students to be innovative, high-performing, globally-minded, and influential citizens.

Consistent with previous years, our district collaborates with stakeholders to create strategic plans and school handbooks to outline expectations that guide our day-to-day interactions and operations. Education is about relationships and we take tremendous pride in fostering relationships with our students. Our district's mission is to engage and inspire our students to become mindful and productive citizens who promote growth and success in everything we do. Please review this handbook to familiarize yourself with our systems and procedures.

Maintaining excellent communication with families is of paramount importance in our district. We encourage you to share your thoughts and welcome innovative ideas so that we may provide your students with the best learning atmosphere possible.
