Here is a reminder of this week's dress-up days...

And one more door, with music, if the link will work. I am trained in math, not technology. 😀

December Senior Athlete of the Month

Congratulations to the Math Problem of the Week Winner #15

Today was Partridge in a "Pair" Tree Day at MPHS! I didn't get very many photos, but here are a few good ones! Tomorrow is Christmas Character Day! It will also be the first day that students can order "Christmas Cutie" goody bags to be delivered next week. The bags are $2 each and will be sold at breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria.

Last week, after reading poems by Walt Whitman, Emily Dickinson, and Rupi Kaur, English III students competed in the annual "You vs. Pro Contest of Champions." Teams were given a poem that we did not read in class and told to emulate it so closely that they would fool their classmates. At the end of class, I put their poems side by side with the originals, and their classmates voted on which one was written by high school students.
The attached images are the three winners -- the groups who fooled the largest percentage of their classes. If you want to play along, comment A or B for each to give your guesses as to which poems were written by high school students!

It's hard to believe that final exams are right around the corner!

Holiday dress-up days start tomorrow with Christmas Vacation Day! Not sure what to wear? Maybe pretend that it's Christmas vacation, and just wear your pajamas all day!

These students entered a contest back in October to write 100-word stories. We just found out this week that they are going to be published in a book! Congratulations to Jolene, Ryder, Kota, and Sarah! We're so proud of you!
