Dear Partners in Education,
There will be a total solar eclipse on the afternoon of Monday, April 8, 2024. Our students will be viewing the eclipse. We have purchased protective eyewear for every student and will advise students on proper use.
If you do not want your student(s) to view the event, please let the office know (by replying to this email or by calling 217-792-7220) by noon on Monday, April 8. Students who do not view the eclipse will be supervised in classrooms.

March is Music in Our Schools Month. For this month we will feature staff members who did music in school. Today will feature Mr. Pluhm who teaches band. He played trombone from elementary school all the way to college. He played recorder in elementary and guitar in junior high. In college, he played all of the orchestra and band instruments along with gamelan. He did sing in junior high, high school and in one semester at college.

In elementary school, she played recorder and trombone. In junior high, she played trombone, tuba and sang in choir. In high school, she played trombone, tuba, percussion and sang choir her senior year. In college, she learned to play all the band/orchestra instruments for her degree, piano and sang in choir for a semester.

In junior high, he played the trombone. In high school, he played trombone, guitar, and sang two years in choir and show choir. In college, he played trombone and sang in choir at Lincoln College and Millikin.

Ms. Stacy did clarinet from elementary school to high school and choir in elementary school and junior high. Mrs. Bender did church worship team and saxophone in junior high.
